Default Detailing Questions

Ok, I have a quick question - Anyone use those spray detailers/waxes? I never used em'...but I gotta say I have seen a few cars (neighbors and a few friends) who have great results. Don't know really how long its going to last or whatnot.

I wash my car about once a week - so if this is reccomended, is it to use in lieu of carnueba wax or just in between regular waxing? Any info appreciated

ive used them and the best thing to do it just was your car and only use those when you get to a show to just get all the stuff you picked up along the way off

For a while last year I had a bottle of the Turtle Wax wax that you spray on the car while still wet and then dry it. It gave the car a decent shine but I think the best results are with a paste/pad or a buffer/liquid type of wax. I now use Adam's Polishes Machine SuperWax with the Porter Cable buffer and will continue to use this for quite a while along with their Fine Machine Polish.

Unless you are referring to those quick detailer sprays; I also like the Adam's Polishes Detail Spray but I also still have a bottle of Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer which is good as well. They're mainly best for regular cleaning to keep the shine throughout the week so you don't have to wash and wax so much.

im old school so i use 3m compound and glaze with a buffer/polisher. the easy on stuff for me its just for show and wont work into your paint like the wax/glaze will.

Ain't no shine like ADAMS shine! Mequiars UQD is decent. But it ain't Adams.

Oh and all of the Adam's Polishes stuff smells really good too! I'll be picking up a few things at the detail clinic this Saturday as well

been using them ever since my first car show haven't had any regrets yet also use them come winter time when i uncover the car just to start it up and clean her up a bit yes my mustang has never seen the inside of a car wash and never will nor has she seen road salt or winter for that matter lol but i highly recommend them the other nice thing is when used enough the water seems to bead off and makes cleaning a lot easier

Just said the same thing to my wife tonight when I cleaned up the car after Carlisle.
