Yeah it sucks... option 1 is to not get a black car haha. (I'm shooting for white on my next mustang) I've been using ScratchX wax and it does pretty well, but otherwise it's real tough. We have a dual orbital buffer at work that does pretty well, but who wants to buff their car once a month.
You also have to really step up your hand washing, I'm not an expert (I gave up at detailing)... But the tips I have:
Use a second "dirty" mitt/sponge for lower, dirty parts of the car so they don't pick up dirt and scratch the easilly visible parts of the car.
Always clean your mitt/sponge as your doing it and NEVER let it touch the ground.
same goes for the drying towel, if it ever touches the ground, wash it or toss it.
I also empty the bucket once or twice a wash, especially if the car is very dirty.
I never use quick detailer or anything, I get crazy scratches when i use it.
But there's a few detail guys on the board that will chime in with more/better tips for sure
always had black cars best thing for them i found out when i briefly worked in a bodyshop is 3m imperial hand glaze, u got to get at a body shop supply house. If u do get this only do one bodypart at a time, u wont believe how it works best shine ever.
i don't have a black car but i have always used two buckets when washing. one for suds and one to clean the mitts before going back in to the one with suds. two mitts one for the top half and one for the lower part of the car. on the mustang is use the lowermitt for the front and rear fascia and below the character line on the doors.

very easy get 3 old or new cotton t shirts one to apply one to wipe off one to buff when u apply it dont leave it on to long maybe 1 or 2 minutes its just so it comes off easy, do like the door and the fender then go back and wipe off the first part u did, believe me the deeeeeep shine u will gwt is amazinnnnnng, also when u wash the car make sure u buy a spot free car wash, use the"absorber to wipe down i actually use a leaf blower to dry it off, this way the less u touch it the better

Ok so:
Step 1: Wash Car with Spot Free Car wash (Recommend any good ones), Dry
Step 2: Apply Glaze with cotton cloth (Can a microfiber cloth do the trick as well)
Step 3: Wait 2 Minutes or so, Then wipe off? Then Buff?? or Buff then wipe off?
Thanks alot, this looks like it will work, I have just purchased 5990 3M Imperial Hand Glaze from eBay. Thanks alot for your help.
