Default Wet shine

I have heard that for shows some guys use pledge furniture spray to get a very wet look to the paint. Have you guys heard of this?

That "technique" or "trick" goes way back to the 60's. You could try it, however, the shine will not last and the product does not work as well as using standard automotive product polishes/cleaners/waxes. It's a "quickie", but also you need to really buff to get rid of any residual and/or swirlies left on the surface.

Personally, I'd never use a household non-automotive product on the paint or clearcoat of any of my vehicles.

Go buy a can, test it out on a panel in an area that is hidden (like a door jamb) and see how it turns out - but as stated above, it will not last on a daily driven vehicle...

i don't think you wanna do that with these newer finishes... It may have been ok for enamel based paint back in the day, but something tells me now is a no-no...

My eyes got real wide when I read this. Use spray wax from ICE or Meguiars.

Well although I would use something else, at least those products are made for paint!

lol! Well come and meet me man! I'll be at Carlisle again next weekend and it looks like Adam is sending me to Virginia Beach next month. There's also the Turkey Rod Run in Florida and the Atlanta Motor Speedway experience in October. You close to any of those?
