My new car to replace the Ranger.
So about a week ago, my Ranger had died, well not really. What happened was I was driving north on RT 13 headed back to my house after dropping someone off at their house. I started to slow down, then was going to come to a complete stop when my break pedal went to the floor. I was like oh shit...almost hitting a 5 series bmw. I get back to my house, noticed I blew a break line. I take it to my mechanic, to lazy to do the repairs myself lol. He calls me later in the day saying that not only did I blow my break line, but I'm going to need to have both wheel cylinders replaced (couldn't bleed them) and both axle seals done (starting to leak). I told him to hold off on them and wait for my dad to come home. I told him what had happened, and he was like as long as you're ok, thats all that matters. As for the truck, me and my dad had talked about it, and it wasn't worth fixing. The estimated total cost of repair was around $600 or so. Value of the truck was $400 more. We decided not to repair it, and just get rid of it. So I started car shopping and as of monday (10/18/10) I bought a brand new car, yes...brand new. It's no Ford...not even a domestic for that matter. So I went from this:
to this:
It's a 2011 Mistubishi Lancer GTS. Basically has the looks of an EVO, but about 130 HP less then one. It is a 5speed, with premium sound basically meaning it has an iPod hook up w/ what i think is a rockford fosgate head unit, not sure. Currently has 400 or so miles on it after a week of owning it. I know its not a Ford, and I may get flamed for buying one on here, :P but its what I wanted that was good on gas. More pics to come later in the week.
