Default Update on my Cobe...

Haven't been on here for a while due to work and life in general.

Just got to wash the car for the first time in months lol. Also had to swap to the stock size rubber due to the rear tires being chewed up by the fender lips(if someone has a fender roller id GLADLY borrow it!)

Anyways here is what she looks like with no wax and a beaten paint job which has been abused by this past winter driving to and from north Jersey almost 3 times a week...

Before(dirty lol)

After(a wash with Megs Gold Class and Some cheap spray wax)

Tried that

Unfortunately the SFC's I welded in stress the chassis into flexing at that point for some reason. Consequently they eventually bend the lip back out and start messing up the tires again. I want to make a few slight relief cuts on the lip and roll it as carefully as possible.
I already cracked some paint on the inside of the lip by doing this in the cold with my Louisville Slugger

I guess I'll give it another whirl. Just wanted to make it as smooth as possible with a roller and not funk it up any more than i already did.

Car looks great Serg...
Goes to show you how well a nicely detailed car holds up to the winter season.

Thank you for the compliments guys. I appreciate the kind words. The car is a good driver, but it will never be a good looker due to all the clearcoat failure and general disregard from the previous owner.

rpgbert: I would gladly drive down to Brick in order to borrow that roller. Would you rent it to me for a few? I'd do this when it gets just a little bit warmer though, in a couple of weeks or so.
