Default 11/14/10 island Dragway.

Well went to Island. This time with slicks... Have to say I did not really run better but I didnt run any worse so... Usually run on my street tires... This time on slicks... Gotta get used to adjusting air pressure and the feel of a slick... First few runs were scary. Last two runs I got the air pressure up enough that it was much more stable. I did not launch hard... or hard enough because I am spinning the wheels power braking at 1700 rpm... Also fear of breaking an axle...

Anyway... got some videos... These were my last two runs... oh... and yes on the second run i did a burnout... he was late to the fence to get it on video.

First race is against a fox.. It was the other kids' first run down the track ever in that car... maybe even ever... he ran a 17.00 flat. I ran a 13.23.

Second race is against a Chevy SS truck. He ran a high 15 I believe and I am a low 13...

Slicks are on 17x8 rims. 430 gears. was thinking wider tire would help keep the tires stuck better while i am staging/preloading... mods are delete plates. pulleys. cold air intake. bama tune. upper and lower lca... ph bar, ph brace... sway bars...

A converter would benefit you well, plus alot of seat time with the car is good too. We should try and get some guys to o to Atco raceway this Saturday for the Test/tune.. Im going to try and go and know a few other S197s attending.
