Default Monticello Motor Club Sept 17th

Here are some pics from Monticello. I love this track and there was some serious competition.

Thx Mark. I have some videos too. I am having trouble editing them. A think I need better software than Quicktime.

PS - Those Ford pick ups were all business!!!!

Very cool! I like that Viper, especially with the massive rear tires.

Videos are not that great. Never ask a kid to take videos . Lesson learned ....
Going thru the esses into the carousel. Look for me in the background
I caught the Miata in front of me. It was no ordinary Miata. 250HP!!!! The GT3 behind me ... um ... toasted me in the next corner.
I was supprised ... I was the quietest car in my run group ....

This was by far the hardest track I ever did. There are some nasty switch backs and a small kink in the long straight known as the Ferrari eater. 4 Ferraris have been totaled there in two years! I gave that "kink" the respect it deserves.

The trucks were very loud. Most of the cars were louder than mine and my car is not that quiet. You can do a Hyper Drive with out a roll bar. That is following the pace car. You will hit speeds well over a 100. One session. But the only way you can run with out one is if you come with me to a charity event in WV. There are two charity events a year, April and September. Let me know if you are interested.

+1 on the vids

So the only track where the "Hyper Drive" will be held is VW? No Monticello and NJMP perchance?

I would like to drive my car there and back so it might be quite the journey.

One session as a Hyper drive is available at most tracks. There is no passing but you can get over 100 easy. Monticello is closed for track days for good. It is now a members only club and it is $125K to join. (So I guess I am never going backs .... )

I drive my car to track days and back. Probably 1/2 the guys trailer them. I will keep you posted for the next one or you can check NASA/PDA's website.
