Default Pocono International Raceway July 16th

OK OK ... tired of begging!!! Does any one want to come and play the weekend of July 16th-18th? I am going to do Friday the 16th. Three different courses. Five 30 minute sessions. That is a lot of track time!!! These will be the smaller Pocono lay outs. You guys with the Cobras with the IRS should come! Sat and Sunday they will be using parts of the Nascar track and you high horse power guys can compete on top end! There is some thing for every one.

So some one come with me.

Once again this is not racing. Even the guys in the 6 bangers will have fun. Its not about speeding .. its about how fast can you drive!!! The instructors will be with you. Its a great time!!!!

Really thinking about going. Since it's a ways away I have to say a "tentative" yes. :P

Good question. The first thing is it is not a race. It is considered High Performance Drivers Education. Wiki has a good definition of it.

The first time on track you will be with an instructor. These guys are very good. They will teach you how to get your car around the track the fastest way possible. By the end of the day you may solo.

It is a blast. It is an awesome feeling to legally find out what your car is capable of. If any one is interested feel free to call me at 201 264-4880. Trust me .. there is nothing to worry about. You go at your own pace. I have been doing this for 5 years and never have damaged my car. Unlike drag racing, most insurance companies cover you on the track during a HPDE event.

Unfortunately verts need a roll bar. They do however rent out Mustangs for the day.

Question Come watch!

Hi guys-

I am doing Pocono on July 17th. I will be doing the double infield.
Here is a video of a guy doing it.
This is what a 914-6 looks like.
http://www.cannillomotorsports.com/p.../9146/9146.htm

It is not that technical of a course. The technical courses are on Friday the 16th. Sunday the 18th they are using almost the entire 2.5 mile Nascar track. This is a good course to learn on. You get to experience the high back corners, very long straights ect. Guys in GT500's will hit 150MPH on the front straight no problem. Damn near impossible to wreck on the big track.

Some people have asked if spectators are welcome. They sure are! Maybe a cruise out to Pocono to watch. I am going to be there two days. On track on Sat and spectator on Sunday. My best buddy is an instructor. If any one is interested let me know. He is a great teacher.
