Default Track Day in NJ Oct 28-29-30

Any one interested. I am working pit out on Saturday on the Lightning course and I am running my car on Sunday on Thunderbolt.

http://www.nasane.com/

I have done both tracks. I had more fun on Lighting, its smaller. It reminds me of Lime Rock.

I want to do Thunderbolt because I have a score to settle with that track! Before I had my serious track mods and extra hp I was invited to a member guest day. Well me and my buddy were the only two guests. Every one else on the track was a member. Well I got my clock cleaned. The 1st session was an hour long. There were a lot of serious drivers/cars on the track. I was only an HPDE 1 guy at the time. They intimidated the $hit out of me. No point-bys were needed.

But seriously, now that I have a lot more track time under my belt, I am looking forward to enjoying Thunderbolt.

Anyone with me?

Damn this sounds awesome! But I'll just be coming back from a vacation and probably will be tapped out for money. These events are not cheap by any means. Unless I hit it big in Vegas which is where I'm going, I will have to wait till next year. Have fun and good luck though. Thanks for the link.

They do get expensive. I do about 5 a year. That is why a work some track days to earn free track time. I also buy track insurance for 5 events a year. that adds to the cost.

Maybe some people want to come and just watch. It is always a fun day.

I'd love to do this one day but definitely don't have the money. I might come record/take pics for you sometime though

Hey, Greg! While I am a member of NASA, I have not made it to one of the races as of yet. I would like to check it out! I see you working the pit on Sat. & racing on Sunday. As far as the funding for this time around, well... no racing this time. Which day would you suggest best for the overall experience? Look forward to your reply. Fred

I will definitely be there Sunday. That is the day for Thunderbolt. I will be there also Friday or Saturday. So if you want to meet up, Sunday is a sure thing.

Do you want to help out and volunteer? It is a great way to get up close and personal with HPDE by NASA.

Some times at these events they have Hyper-Drive. It is $50 with an instructor. The downside is there is no passing.

Let me know if you want to go.

Thanks, Greg! I will let you as to which day will work. Probably Sunday! In the meantime, I'll check site for schedule info. It does not show so far any mention of hyper-drive at this point. Will there be arrival times posted for drivers and helpers at a later date? Also, is there a fee upon entering park for members? Chances are that my son Evan, also a member will be attending. He will be sixteen in Nov.. Anyway, thanks for your time!

Fred
