Default Blew my motor with the 2.9

I blew my motor last weekend during a race. My plan of attack is this. Diamond pistons, stock rods and crank, ported heads, custom cams, arp head studs, 80lb injectors, BAP, Mcleod twin clutch, put the stock lower on and keep the 3.5 pulley. I'm thinking boost will at 17lbs at the most due to the cams and head port. Then I can run pump 93 all the time. I will also do a race tune at 23lbs with 100 octane.

Isn't it pretty hard to blow up a terminator? I wanna know how much power you are putting down

I was running 23lbs of boost on torco. We did a compression test and cylinder number 3 read 135. The rest read 190. It didnt detonate cause the plug looked normal as well as the other plugs. Also the dipstick was clean of metal shavings. For shits and giggles I'm also gonna tear apart the oil filter and see if I find anything in there.

wow 23 lbs is a ton of boost. At least you're alright, i've seen some nasty videos of guys blowing their motor and bad stuff happening, like chunks of metal flying everywhere

I think I just over rev'd it. It's gonna cost a grip to get the work I want done to it. Or I can go the cheaper route and just get another stock crate motor and be done with it.

I decided to just rebuild it with better pistons. I'm dropping the motor off to the engine shop this Saturday.
