dba - disk brakes australia. the only way to go if you want "bling" rotors. Cuz theyre not crappy.

Id also try to steer you towards slotted only.

Ebay is fine for alot of purchases so long as you know what your buying. If you are looking for a cheap pair of rotors, I would not recommend it. Now if your gonna buy Baer, or Brembo, or EBC then you should be fine.

Just remember, buy cheap-buy twice

I personally don't like drilled rotors, because yes, they can crack and it will happen eventually. Unless they were manufactured cast in instead of later drilled out (which are most rotors), this is a possibility.

There are arguments either way you will find all over the place. Personally, for normal driving, it doesn't make much of a difference at all. I think they are just a gimmick for street cars because they look nicer. But the rotors that are tried and true, and will give you the most rotor to pad area are the typical blanks. But, there are obvious differences in the types of rotors there too. I did brakes on my friends '05, he got the Brembo blanks and a set of Hawk HPS pads...he was VERY happy with the difference and the dust was a lot lower than the OEM Ford pads.

thanks guys i ended up going with EBC 3GD slotted and dimpled rotors opposed to drilled and slotted rotors mainly due to the chance of cracking is way to high from what ive found, where the dimpled are the same method as slotting they only go into the surface and not through the rotor.

I have DBA rotors and Hawk Race pads. I have been on the track 5 times with them and the are still in great shape. (Also 30K of street use in addition to the track days) Drilled look the coolest, but I was steered away from them if I was going to track my car. Like said above .. drilled rotors crack. I never knew about dimpled rotors. I cant wait to check them out.

Sounds like you made a great choice!
