I know EBC has good pads, but I haven't read anything about their rotors. I have the SSBC Slotted front/rear discs and they kit came with Hawk HPS pads..a little more brake dust then I would like, but it's a great set and only $307 from latemodelrestoration.com

any website that has a cheesy name like that, i tend to avoid. I'd rather order from Jegs or Summit, someone with a big reputation

I have EBC rotors on my Explorer because of the 24" rims, and lemme tell you I swear by them. I even have EBC pads on my Stang with Baer Decelerotors on the front with the 2003 Cobra kit and it stops on a dime

I have always been told to just stick to the slotted rotors because the ones that are drilled develop cracks that extend from the holes. So I'm gunna guess that they aren't the best for long term street use. Next time you see a car with drilled rotors take a look, you will probably see cracks. Not sure how that affects the life or performance of the part...but cracks in things are usually the first sign of failure.

yea i have heard the same thing but the benefit of the EBC rotors that im gonna get arent true drilled they are slotted and dimpled which from what ive heard allows the brake rotor to hold onto its structural integrity which is always nice and im ordering them from summitracing.com so its from well known and reliable company.

I actually just got done ordering the EBC 3GD Sport Rotors from SummitRacing.com and I should have them by next Tuesday which im so happy about because ill have them before carlisle and they only cost $345 for both the front and the rear now i just need to order my new rims and tires hopefully ill be able to get them before carlisle as well.
