Default Buffers/Polishers......which do you recommend?

Looks like I need to do several buffing and polishing jobs to my families cars in the spring to get rid of some scratch marks as well as wax them.....so I am curious to find out which buffers/polishers any of you have tried or recommend.

Definitely opened to learning more about my options, I have a few months but probably doesn't hurt to get the topic started now.

Orbital buffers are your friend...

Rotary buffers can do more harm than good(fast too) if you don't use them with caution...

You can always bring all the the cars and have me do them

I'll give you a family discount lol.

Dual Action Porter Cable 7424xp is the best choice. That's what I have. They can be found for around $120 bucks or used else where. The best thing about this product is that it is a no brainer. You can't mess up. Doesn't get hot enough to burn. And is EXCELLENT for the novice detailer.

Some use the Flex, but it's bigger more expensive and a lot more dangerous to the novice detailer.

OR......

You can take it to SERG.

I just ordered the 7424xp on Wednesday from Amazon for $116 w/free shipping. I read many good things about it. I am definitely a novice, too! It shipped today!!

I also ordered the Foam Pad & Backing Plate Kit and fine machine polish from Adams.

Many swirls to remove. I'll let ya know.

For a first class job, you can use my buddies service, they come right to your home/office.
Brings everything he needs, even water. He's done my cars several times.
Here's his site, gift certificates available. I'm not pimping him out, but someone may be looking for this type of service.

ZeroT That's a winner! You may need SHR (Swirl and Haze Remover) if your swirls are deep. Orange pad and Orange product. Have you ever corrected your car? Don't forget to clay first!

Go Adams Go!
