i what i know is correct i believe that it will void your warranty cause you are modifying a part of the engine also dont the 05 and up need a tune with the intake so that would def void warranty.

this is just what i thought i am not completely definite that this is right

It didn't void mine. I got a tune and intake. But I had it done by ford. Call the dealer to be sure...

Honestly, if its not installed by ford and a ford product - it pretty much will. YET, read up on this...

However, this is NO WAY applies an actual fact. This is all opinion I am posting and this is no way what you SHOULD or SHOULD NOT do. I am not responsible for either of those threads and these were just what I found by researching online.

your warranty is voided of what you modify. I.E. if you modify your mufflers, they aren't covered. If you need a new TB and modded your mufflers obviously your TB will still be covered. But remember that each dealership will be different.

And honestly, i doubt your warranty will cover something that breaks anyway, i've never have much faith in those extended warranties. But if you paid the money for it, why spend money and a risk to void something you already spent money on? I'm not trying to sound like a jackass, just sayin...

I brought this up to my ford service dept and they dont consider it to be a modification, also depending on the dealer like mine they dont mind if u have a tuner box as long as u keep it in the car in case they need it.this info was as per the service mgr. I have a k and n it works great on my 6

if you install an intake, and it ingests dirt..ur new motor will not be under warranty. so no, i would have to disagree with the statement above, that only the part that you modify loses its warranty.

If you do decide to get an intake, get a tune too. You will feel the difference.

As stated above, just remove it if the car has to go to the dealer.
