Default Emissions tests

Hey everyone, in my other thread I talked about a set of long tube headers, i was wondering what the emission regulations are for NJ. On the American Muscle website under exhaust/FAQ they have a PDF file that give you a readout for each state's emissions regulations; problem is, that I didn't notice NJ had any(other states on there were clearly stated). Should i go catless or just go with a catted mid-pipe. Any suggestions welcome!
Thanks
Matt

It doesn't actually matter what your emmissions are you just have to trick the computer into thinking there are cats. Personally I reccomend cats because our cars sound better with them.

Fooling the computer is one thing, fooling inspection is another. I don't know how it is now - do they plug into your OBD port? My truck is tuned by Bama, I tried going through with the tune, but because of it, they couldn't read my emissions info and it and it failed.

That's not tricking the pcm that's just not allowing the monitor for the rear 02 sensors to run. You can run spacers on the rear 02 sensors made from spark plug defowlers and make it so the sensors don't get a good sniff so to speak. If you stack 2 defowlers the sensor won't even realize

Man, I wish I had known that before I went and got a downpipe with 4 new cats for my truck. I think three of them were toasted, that cost me a nice chunk of change.
