Default Help....Need Great NJ Auto body shop!!!! - Northern Valley in Englewood

Update, found a great NJ Auto Body Shop in Englewood, NJ, called Northern Valley Auto Body with over 20 years of experience! They did an awesome job on my 2000 Ford Mustang. Thank you guys!

Ok so most of you know that I am getting duals put on Sheldon...finally...I know! Well Jonathan was able to get me a gt bumper at a very reasonable price, now this is where I need your help, I need to find a body shop to paint and install it for me at a pretty good price.

I have gone to two places so far the first charging $500-600 depending on how bad the bumper is scratched up and that includes install too, the second place I went to was $450, however this guy could not tell that the bumper inserts where is says mustang were stickers and not paint, anyways, I was hoping I could find a little bit of a better price.

So if you guys know of any shops who can do better than either one of these prices, but still does excellent work, please let me know!!!!!!

P.S. Getting my duals installed the week of February 15th, so obviously I need the bumper painted before then!!!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

On My wife's 03 the duals go below the bumper, does the Gt's go thru the bumper?

im guessing its something like this

Bergen brookside auto body in hackensack is where we reccomend here at the insurance agency. Ive spoken wiht them and theyre very nice.

My main question is....who cares if its scratched. Theyre gonna strip and paint it anyway..so anyone who is basing their price on how scratched it is is full of doo doo.

As far as saving money...do yourself a favor and install the painted bumper yourself. Its simple.

Usually that would be the first place I'd rule out if it was reccomended through an insurance company:P

Definitely, Hey Kevin any chance you help us with that? :P Don't want to mess it up....if the right body shop wants to install it for the right price then fine too but so far all are very expensive

bumper install is straight-forward, you just need to pull off all the fasteners, screws ect then pop the new one on there.

I have a few collision places near me that do excellent work but i don't know about price

I would say Conquest Collision....they are on our Vendor/Sponsor list and Stangers get a discount. I would also agree that replacing the existing bumper yourself or with our help is a must and will save you money in the process!

will definitely check it out, its a small drive for us since we were looking for a local shop to do it (to avoid damage transporting it painted back home) James let me know of any you'd recommend and we'll give them a call this week.

Just ask the shop to paint it for you... NO install.. Bring them the bumper... Then take it away.

That should cut at least $100 of the price...

I can personally help you put it on if you want. Its not too hard of a task. Done it a few times on different cars(including mustangs.)

Also, make sure the shop who paints the bumper remembers to use flex additive in the clear so your new paint doesn't crack if the bumper ever gets "bumped."
