I just came across this video on YouTube, I do not know if it works for sure or not, nor am I telling you to try it......if I had one I'd probably figure out exactly what the part is before removing it.

That's what it looks like to me. Seems like they removed a baffle from the sound induction tube Ford installed in the newer Mustangs. I don't think this mod will make the car louder on the outside, just on the inside...

that makes sense

yeah - if they knew what those parts were called or what they were for they would've mentioned it - Ford doesn't invest alot of money into their engineering departments for no reason

that tube is to make you feel like your car is louder in the car while its quieter on the outside.... wow a+ for jackassdom ford!

i did it to my car and it made it annoyingly droney (although some like that) but i prefer to keep the noise outside of the car lolol

yeah literally just a piece of foam, i actually stuffed more foam in mine to help stop the extra "noise" from my CAI but some swear by it. it's all preference !
