Thanks for all that info, Jim. I'm done playing around with markers, I used to have my own Prismacolor set which I used for lettering and copying over drawings. Now my medium is the computer and messing around with photo editing.

I really like the color study, and I'd appreciate seeing more color studies with final products if you have them to share. With all the time you put into it, your color studies may even be able to sell for a few bucks. Even if they're of somebody else's car, they'd be good for guys like myself who favor function over form.

Thanks for all the info Jim! I didn't expect such a response haha. I really need to go out and get some real drawing supplies some day I just haven't had the time to finish even my last drawing. My biggest problem is I focus too much on making every drawing as perfect as possible and in doing that I make it very difficult to learn new techniques. I need to start just practicing separate parts of a drawing rather than trying to get everything right the first time in one. Kind of like what you did with the sketches to get the colors for shading right. I appreciate all the info there I'll definitely be giving it a shot soon

Nice, I know the guy you're drawing them for, he's member of Valley Forge MC with me.

I actually include the color study and all sketches with the drawing. Some people frame everything, check out the challenger drawing and sketches near the bottom here...

One more tip for getting started, you could grab a few highlighters... they're cheaper than markers and are a bit easier to start with... I used to print up a bunch of black and white drawings and practice on them.

Small world! Dennis is a cool guy, he has the car set up perfect for a retro bullitt too, looks sweet.

Hmmm ok I'll give that a shot. Maybe I'll snag a few to mess with from the teachers at the school I work at hahaha

Getting closerrr.. Lots of details to add and small things to tweak... I'm trying to figure out how much more detail the background needs.
