Default *ALERT* G I Auto Salvage Closing

I just got word that G I Auto Salvage in Pine Brook, NJ is closing . Not sure if any of you have been there, I have been there several times years ago - it was very well organized. Great prices for what I bought. They had a lot of rare Buick's; GN's, Electra's, LeSabre's and Regals with some unique packages (Yes this was in my Buick days). I would like to head out there before they close, but weather has to cooperate as well as my feet. (When it rains there - it gets ridiculously muddy). Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that some people might not know - there have been rumors in the past about them closing, but from my sources say - its officially closing this time.

Thumbs down

Wow, that's sad......I remember going there looking for parts for the racecar!
So I guess they want a Lowes there to compete with the Home Depot across the street that is built on top of the old Pine Brook Speedway...another sad loss!

Also, did you know that some of the junkyards won't even let you walk around to look for things? Roxbury Auto Wreckers is now run that way. You have to tell them what you want/are looking for and they go and get it for you. What fun is that???
