Its definitely easier to be consistent with an auto at the track then a manual. Even the 05-10 show this. That's why pros use power glides and trans brakes.

This new 5.0 generation is going to be interesting to say the least. Just look what happend in the past...those things are still haulin butt. The new cars are big tho...

not really sure if the aftermarket for these motors are going to be able to really gain nearly as much hp on these newer motors as our cars... the chevy camaro aftermarket is really not that hot right now because the factory motor uses every advantage to make hp. after reading the article i think ford has done the same. so that being said it might be cheaper just to mod your 4.6 with a s/c, headers, tune, gears, driveshaft etc and beat up on the 5.0... i guess we will have to see what comes out for these engines in a year or so.... the engine is super hi tech that is for sure. Your local dealership or mechanic is going to have no clue on how to fix or find a problem for a at least a few months maybe even a year... the article breaks the motor down. it is really nice to see an article that is so in depth on it.
