Ford contacted John Lund himself since i know he was the first guy to offer the tune and asked him to stop selling it. I wonder what everyone is going to do that already has it installed on their cars?
They cant take the tunes back that have been sold. Ford is just gonna start manufacturing a power pack with the boss manifold a tune and probably a cold air and mufflers
I Talked to several tuners since I bought the manifold vitae I was going to sell it and all of them urged me not to. With basic mis like headers and crap it becomes alot more useful. And steve at bbr told me with that and a cai they have been seeing about 420 rwhp

Toss a set if long tubes and well...you get the point lol
well it sounds like the tune gave the sound of a big lift cam with none of the benefit but was a helluva lot cheaper to do for guys who want the tone without the power advantages...
also sounds like ford wants the tune for themselves for the boss and boss intake power package so i wonder if the tune will add power with that intake combo. regardless it sounded awesome... actually it is the only new 5.0 that had a good tone imo (flame suit on)... sorry 5.0 guys... i think your cars all sound like crap compared to any other 5.0, 5.4 or 4.6 for that matter but you are making nice hp and torque numbers so i guess with the loss of a bad ass sounding car you are gaining something of value.
also, james. the intake was designed to take advantage of the 5.0's ability to rev out to 7,300 rpm... that is 2,300 past what you feel is normal but you are comparing that to the 4.6 that screams at 6,200. there is a lot of power to be made past that with the new 5.0. it is the perfect motor for the boss nameplate actually as the 69 and 70 boss cars were animals with high revving power building at high rpm motors. ford got it right on with the new reincarnation of the boss and the intake/ motor combo imo.
