Default Inside Scoop Photos of entry level 440hp SMS302 Mustang

Here is the inside scoop on the new (White Label Base Package) SMS 302 Mustang.

Will have the SMS 302 440hp 400trq engine with SMS Grille,Rear Spoiler,Rear Trunk Panel and SMS302 fender stripes along with a sequence build number/plate. No pricing has been set yet..Great entry level for someone to get into one hot SMS302 car and add on if he or she wants to later.

This car will also have SMS Supercar's incredible sounding exhaust ...not a set price yet....but they are getting closer to figuring it out.

Here are some early photos

They have their tune, a K&N type filter and SMS underdrive pullies. Should be a fun car for the price. They are shooting for a price near what a 5.0 GT costs..but you get more power and some nice looks with an Official SMS serial number. I think its a pretty cool car to get people into a New SMS Supercar from Steve Saleen that normally couldnt afford the 60k and up price tag on their (Black Label Packages)

The SMS570 Challengers will be priced accordingly too. With a (Yellow Label Package) that has the base White Label styling with the added power of their Supercharger. The SMS 302 Mustang will have a (Yellow Label Package) later in August. The highest end (Black Label Package) for the SMS302 Mustang right now is the one I have now. That is optioned out to 66k. Again..no SMS Supercharger is certified yet...August is the scheduled build on that. Thanks for looking!!

that is good indeed. A Saleen S281 was just so darn expensive, i think thats part of the reason i saw 3 or 4 Roush to every 1 Saleen. Heck i've seen more PJ Saleens then normal ones.

This is a very good move on their part, looking forward to checking one out!

It will be a good move on their part.....the expected price is going to be somewhere ni the 35k to 37k range. No final pricing yet. Will also include their SMS Springs all around too to make the car sit and handle that much better.

The supercharger for this new 5.0 engine should be ready by August and will be an available option as a Yellow Label Package...same goodies as the White Label entry level SMS 302, but with the Supercharger option.

Remember..all of Steve Mark Saleen's SMS302 cars are a production car...it only comes with his Window Sticker. Not like other companys that are more of just an add on tuner shop. Those cars come with the Ford Window Sticker and then their own sticker showing the new price.

Also all SMS cars have their own specs for tuning in reflashing the computer and in their alignment specs to make them handle the best they can.
