Default Motor Trend First Look at the 2015 Ford Mustang NJ Concept * Pictures *

2015 Mustang Concept in New Jersey or NY?

As pictured in the latest issue of Motor Trend magazine for October 2011, the 2015 Ford Mustang NJ Concept pictures have been released to the public, featuring the Mustang's 50th anniversary design style. Rumors are that the 2015 Ford Mustang will have an (IRS) independent rear suspension unlike the live axles currently produced on the Mustangs.

Whether this is an actual image of the 2015 Ford Mustang or a leaked photo of the 2015 Ford Mustang we are not sure. It does share many similar body features to the 2010-12 Ford Mustangs out in production now. This may just be Motor Trends portrayal of the 2015 Ford Mustang since it's too early to tell what it'll look like.

Power plant for the new 2015 Ford Mustang is unknown whether the current 3.7 liter V6 and 5.0 liter motors will be used in the 2015 Mustang or if we will see a horsepower upgrade with a possible Turbocharged Four Cylinder Mustang in the works?

What do you guys think of this 2015 Ford Mustang Concept?

The first 2 pics look very similar but i like the fresh look actually. 3rd looks just like the 2012 shelby PP.

I'm interested to see how the new shelby will do with the turbo's coming into them soon

My understanding is those are just an artists guess at what the next Mustang will look like. I'll have to look thru the article again. I do like the way it looks. A little more modern while keeping the classic lines. I've also read it's supposed to be smaller and lighter than the current model and have an independent rear suspension. Sounds nice if you ask me

1+ I believe that's what it is, but doesn't hurt to build the hype haha

The GT500 does look like the 2012 model.

I am hoping the new model with have more of a change than a simple curve that they have above here. Only way im buying the 50th anniversary stang is if they do something that will really be different and uniqure. A change like this is more minimal than the one from 09 to 10.

IMO this is the 2013 stang, cause its supposed to get a freshening up in 2013 anyway.

I am interested in the IRS though, hasn't been around since the terminators if i'm not mistaken.

The actual article states: "Shown here is our artist's rendering of what the new coupe may look like." So it's far from an official Ford rendering.

Here is the link to the mobile version of the MT article:

I like it. Still looks like a stang.

As long as it doesn't look like a camaro, it's all good.
