I'm seriously considering the new GT500. The pre '11 car never appealed to me, as it seemed to really be for the drag racing crowd and I enjoy myself on the road course.

If I do one it'll be a stripped coupe with the SVT package.

While the GT500 is a production car from Ford with some input from Shelby. The car that was unveiled at Barrett-Jackson was a prototype model which is why it has the tacked on body kit look to it. As for performance numbers so far Shelby American has yet to release the price or the power outputs of the car. Here is some more information on the GT350:

You know your stuff! And those interested can expect to pay north of $60k!

I get asked that a lot. I have a stick now, way up on the horsepower scale I am not getting any younger, and I have been going thru my options as to the next 4 years. If possible $ wise, keep my car I have now and either get a vert mustang with an auto, or a vert vette with an auto. And doing no mods to the car. But I also like what JDM does with those lightning trucks. Thats what I am just kicking around. Out of the blue a friend of mine made me an offer to buy my car, that totaly came from left field, dam near broke my kids hearts I was not aware I was giving them the 07!1
