Looks like the new motor is gonna be made from WAP castings. Nice find!

this new motor being setup for DI (direct injection) should prove interesting down the road.

However, direct injection means very pricey injectors so those who choose to go with F/I and need larger injectors will be paying a pretty penny for the injectors. I am starting to understand why people build 5.0 foxes, the parts are so much cheaper.

i also like the look of the intake manifold, and the strut towers have less of that rusty bolt look as well. I can't wait to see how this motor handles boost

they are talking about how this motor won't be able to handle even mild boost. its supposedly rated at the same HP level of 450-500 or so that the 4.6 can take, but since you start at 412 versus 300, the boost will push you too far over the limit. but i'm sure tuners will figure out a way to sell superchargers once they get their hands on the motor and blowers. Its just a matter of how many parts do you need or can you slap a blowers on the stock block like we can

I have been talking with some people and they are thinking boosting the 6cyl like a Terlingua. I think both cars are going to be very interesting with the possible performance enhancements, but a 6 to start with 300hp is very interesting. What do you guys think?

BTW, the sounds still can't compete with a nice throaty 8 though.

the 3.7 puts out a pretty good amount of power already, with eco boost you'd see over 370/370 i'd say easily.
