QUESTION - What do you MOST want to see in the 2013 next Mustang?
Hi everyone. As many of you know, the next revision for the Mustang is supposed to be for 2013. What feature / options would MOST want to see in the new Stang ?
I would love a good dual clutch tranny with rev-matching. Even if it were a special option, or special edition. How sweet would it be to have the paddle shifters yet a manual feel?

That might not be a bad option. Personally I'm pretty happy with the way the 2011's are already. Maybe just more hp and more standard features.
I think an Independent Rear suspension is almost definite. I don't see how Ford can afford NOT to do it. They famously screwed Mustang owners in 2004 when they kept the Live Axel to save about $200 a vehicle in manufacturing costs. That pissed a lot of owners off.

Personally I love the live axle. Makes it that much easier to drift lol. As an option it would be cool but most people that do any racing with stangs don't track it. They do 1/4 mile races, which is really more of a live axle situation anyway.

That is so true. We both have 2011 GT manuals, which means we both have the same Getrag MT82. This is probably my least favorite part of the car. That skip shift "feature" is annoying. Not everybody tunes their car, and they have to suffer through that bs.
They should have used the Tremec 6-speed they use in the GT500. I didn't spend a nickel doing anything to my tranny after the supercharger. If it dies, I am putting that Tremec in.

Even the Vette has leaf springs with an independent rear. The Mustang is literally the only GT or sports car that uses it. As a racer, I love it on the track, but an IR would be better overall.

That's true. I guess you could always do a roush conversion for the newer years or a cobra IRS conversion for the older ones. But I'm sure that would be insane money.

Trust me, I looked into it, it's ridiculous. Unless you were a sponsored race team or something, it makes no financial sense.

Can they make the friggin thing smaller and lighter? Maybe offer a LX package that offers manual windows and locks, maybe a bare bones radio and interior? Some of us dont want all the gadgets, and would prefer a lighter, more nimble car.
