Default tpms question,

long story short!
i'm getting new 2010 gt this weekend.
i am taking off my shelby wheels to put on the 2010 , and the 2010 wheels are going on my 2007.
the sensors should work both ways , right?
they say the sensors are the same, just different bands hold them on, i shouldnt have anything to worry about??
also did they change the rear or anything? i want the wheels to fit the same as the 2007,did they change the offset is what i'm asking?
thank you

everything should work the same. you will just need to set up the sensors on each for the new cars cuz they are currently set up for their own respective car system

ok basically the wheels coming on the 2010 with the TPMS are syned with the 2010. the wheels on the 2007 are synced with the 2007. just because you take the wheels from the 2007 and put them on the 2010 doesnt mean they are synced to the 2010 and the same goes for the 2010 wheels on the 2007. you need to use a TPMS transmitter tool in order to sync the wheels TPMS to the car they are on

I have the TPMS transmitter tool and its very simple to use. Its worth the couple bucks to know you have air pressure in your tires. Granted everyone droves for almost a century before TPMS tech but its a nice thing to know if you blindy start driving without looking at your car that your car will tell you have a flat

I thought they changed the sensors for the '10+ cars. be sure to post up your results. It would be great to see confirmation that they'll work.

Yes, they did. The TPMS is now valve stem mounted on the 2010s+, there is no bands or brackets like the 07-09s have.

Had the same thing on a 2006 Explorer and a 2008 Explorer. Had to resync on both vehicles but everything worked.
