Awesome car, totally different kind of power delivery than a Mustang, but TONS of fun! Under 6k RPM, it's docile and civilized, but once you're on the big cam lobes,,, OMG!!! From 6-9k, these motors just SCREAM!!
2003 is the year to get. It's the last year for the AP1 with the 9k RPM redline, the later 2.2L cars make the same power at lower RPM, but that's just isn't what these cars are about! '03 is also the 1st year for the nice top with the glass back window instead of the plastic, and has a nicer interior than the 00-02 cars.
Runs great with only 62k miles. Trans and clutch are perfect, and probably has the greatest shifter in any car, ever.
I love these cars, and could probably talk forever about them, but if you're interested, just come drive it for yourself.
