Default Do not discuss street racing.

It's natural for a forum like this to travel that path.

Do not discuss it openly anywhere on the forum, or at meets.

If you absolutely have to do it because your life depends on knowing that your car is faster than another members:
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO IT BEFORE/DURING/AFTER A MEET. DO NOT INVOLVE THE WHOLE CLUB IN YOUR ACTIONS.
Go FAR away. FAR FAR AWAY.

There's nothing I can say that would stop you from doing it, so at least minimize the damage and keep it outside the club.

I would like emphasize on this and how we definitely don't approve of street racing and never have in NJStangers. I created this club 2 years ago with club members in hopes of getting people off street racing and to to track events, car shows, or just general meets. It has worked pretty well for the last two years and I just want all our new upcoming members to know this. We are a member of the http://ccasr.org/ and are very proud of what they started to help distinguish clubs as against street racing.

I have recently heard rumors about us being called basically a young street racing crowd, which isn't true, because all of you that have been to our meets know this. Just expect to hear this at upcoming shows from another party.

I appreciate you consideration in reading about this issue. I'd like to keep this up because its what makes us different then many other clubs, even if we have another club telling white lies to get members, I won't stoop down that low and mention them.

Im going to put myself in the position of Liason to these clubs as it may...you know I have the gift of "Gab" and I am very outgoing and not afraid of confrontation and verbal volleyball with others in this situation. If you need a go to person to represent us in such a fashion, Im your man..just let me know what group needs "maintenance" to dissolve the YOUNG STREET RACER myth....as Im 45 w/ a slow but show worthy stang....just that will quiet the rumors.

Mark

Just keep this in mind when posting your "Kills" on any of the hundreds of open forums out there, that the insurance companies, Po Po, and the lawyers will use it against you when you screw up... They love searching the forums for evidence...

Default Track Track Track

Going to Summit Point West Virginia on Wednesday. Guys typically his 135 mph on the front straight with large HP cars. There are also 10 turns. (Esses, carousels ect...) It has been proven that people that track their cars drive better on the streets. (less speeding) The slogan of the non-profit I am involved in that sponsors these events is "Anyone can speed ... the question is how fast can you drive"

Having said that .. I spanked a kid on a 10 speed bike on the way in this morning. Lucky for me there was a big hill and I passed him on the outside!!!!! (I think I had the advantage because his back pack was weighing him down. How much home work do kids get in 4th grade these days? Geeze!)
