So, you know how I did my part 2 review of these lights a while ago and we all had alengthy discussion about why I couldn't see with these lights and what bulbs I should use and to HID or to not HID?
Well, I decided to just get stock H9 bulbs in white for now to see if they would help at all, and my husband just went out to install them this evening. He came in after like 2 minutes to tell me to come outside, because my lights were not WORKING.
Which would probably explain why I couldn't see.

The halos are on but the projector bulbs were both out. Steve opened them up to put in the new bulbs and both connectors had MELTED. One was melted to the original bulb so badly Steve almost couldn't get it off.
He plugged both new bulbs in and they work but who knows for how long? The housings are clearly defective and I'll be having a lengthy and unpleasant discussion with American Muscle/ Raxiom direct tomorrow.
Anyone have any idea what may have caused this? They have only been in since May, and they worked fine then. I have no idea when they went out because it hasn't been dark enough for me to need the lights.
Please offer suggestions - and tell me what I should say to AM/Raxiom tomorrow - you know, aside from screaming bloody murder at them.
