So for Christmas my rents bought me Angel eye fog lights. I have a 06 GT. I went to install them and was curious if any one else had them because when I went to put them in when I turned them on, the halo was so dim you couldn't see it over the fog light. Curious to see if any one had the same problem.
they are more meant to be on when the foglight is off but i would check your connections again you need a really good power and ground for those. but remember i assume they are ccfl (cold cathode flueorescent lighting) i hjave them on my focus and they take a minute or 2 to warm up and get bright
Yea well I hooked them up and let them sit for a minute and they still weren't getting bright. So I think I'm just going to return them and get a strut brace instead.
They aren't bright at all. i've had the CFFL halos for years now, they work with the lights off and wired into the parking lights the best as a DRL or just for the bling. they don't brighten up the road at all, they are all for show, not for function. Same goes for the STB actually, its eye candy on the S197 GT unless its a 3 point brace attaching to the firewall
now now now. the stb is not just for show it has an increase in rigidity in cornering and the 3 point ones are pointless because the firewall is made out of paper on our cars. but yes the halos arent suppose to produce ligh and are not supposed to be used when the fog lights are on

I read loads of info on this, and haven't found any definitive answers... but most the info I've seen was "There's not enough deflection across them for it to be needed" and "any deflection there is doesn't adversely effect handling, so from a racer's standpoint all it is, is extra weight"
i have read alot on the subject to. im not saying its a huge difference but i have heard it was like a 10 percent increase over stock side to side movement i wont lie when i took mine off i didnt notice a difference but i have a cage so i didnt think i would but when my car was bone stock and i put the bar on it made a slight difference in hard cornering. enough to spend 400 bucks on a crazy looking brace? no not even enough for a 200 dollar brace but i got a steeda single bar brace for 35 bucks a while back and it did the trick!
I've had a couple of them myself. I've read so much tech on them i'm not a believe but people say it helps so who am i to dispute what they feel? When i added my Steeda i knew it may not effect the suspension, i did it cause it looked sick
