Default Big thank you to Robs Performance..

Just want to say thank you to one of the most honest guys in such a shady industry. Heres a quick story: I brought Rob some components to install, (shocks, bushings) cause I was hearing this horrible noise. The Edlebrock shocks were toast, and the bushings had seen better days. When I got the truck back, there was still a noise of banging around, that felt like it was right under my ass.

We talked about the possibility of bad body bushings, motor mounts, trans mount, and some other ideas. Well leave it to Rob to find out that it was just a clamp from the exhaust hitting the crossmember when the chassis was loaded to one side.

Now some guys might have tried to make a fortune off of someone by selling them all kinds of shit they dont need. Instead, Rob did what needed to be done, and took the time to show me what the issue was. This is the reason I tell everyone on here to check out his work. He stands by his name, and makes sure you are informed and content with the work being performed.

Thanks again Broski

Yes I just met rob this weekend and he already put a great impression on me. Between the organization of his shop and the way he described the work performed there, I look forward doing business with him in the future

There's a local shop around here I trust a lot because of a similar story.

My truck was still under warranty when one of the front shocks started leaking oil real bad. Not wanting to replace with factory junk I got a set of the Rancho RS9000XL shocks and had this local shop replace them (I normally do 100% of my own work, but it was mid-January, 10 degrees, and the springs on my truck are too big for my spring compressor).

About 2 months later I was getting a crazy squeaking from the front end when I hit bumps. By this time I was JUST out of the full warranty but still had the lifetime powertrain warranty and my fear was something in the CV joint since I had a similar problem fixed before.

Anyway, I take it to the dealer and they tell me the shock mount bracket & bushing are bad and need to be replaced. In addition they have to replace the shocks...the ones I just put in, with factory ones. Because they claim the aftermarket shocks caused the mounts to go bad. All-in-all, they wanted just under $600 in parts & labor to replace the shocks & shock mounts. I told them to blow me, in not so many words, and took my truck back.

I went back to my local guy who I've used forever, and left it there. He calls me a few hours later, says the upper shock was loose. My truck uses a coil over shock type setup and the shock shaft mounting nut wasn't torqued enough. He tightened it and didn't even charge me.

It's nice to find trustworthy mechanics and people who don't try to screw you.

I had Rob do some work for me over the summer and all I can say is good things about his place, himself and the way he conducts his business.
Wish I had a little more money to spend on things just so I could give him more business, he deserves it.

Johnny, right there with you on that. Rob and Chelsea run a really good shop. When I came in for the whining noise in my steering, it would only happen when it was really cold out, he told me he didn't want to waste my money until he was sure what it was......thankfully the power steering pump didn't look the best, he replaced it and for the last week I've be whine free and the steering is so much smoother and a bit lighter too which is nice. So he got to the bottom of the problem. Thanks Rob and Chelsea!

I'm gonna give my two sense bc I feel I need to. Like you said its great to know someone reliable in such a shady business I agree. I don't know why there are alot of shady people in this billion dollar industry. If there were more reliable shops all these place would be making more money than what they are now and what's everyone in it for is the money. Everyone know I was saving my money for a supercharger I did get some good deals on the blower and install but my thing was the @$$hole dealers that won't honor the warranty and I don't want to pay for anything. Since I hear alot of good things about Rob I would love to meet him and bring him work because I believe in supporting small businesses to make the economy good and everyone's happy. So keep up the good work Rob!!!

I agree that he does great work. When Jon brought the truck in for work I told him about the crack in my header and he told me he would look into headers for me that were reasonably priced, which I thought was nice of him to do for me. We also talked about having him install the new rear for my car as well. Very nice guy and very honest, he doesn't bs you in anyway, he gets straight to the problem to try and solve it for you!
