Angry Evolution Performance KILLED my 2011 5.0 Mustang - EvoPerform.com Review

Evolution Performance Review (EvoPerform.com) - Horror Story of my 2011 5.0 at Evolution Performance in PA!

(EvoPerform.com) - Bad Review about Evolution Performance in PA

Hi Everyone,

It is a sad time. I didn't want to come out about this, but I feel that I must. For any of you that saw my Roush supercharged Stang in Bayville, EVOLUTION PERFORMANCE managed to kill the engine. The short story is that I told EVOLUTION that the car was strictly for road racing - not drag racing. Fred Cook the manager - his wife's father Nelson owns the shop, flat out lied to me about a number of things. The car only lasted less than ONE TRACK DAY - until the 4th session on a 60 degree day - blew 2 pistons, and lost major compression in other cylinders. That is LESS THAN 2 HOURS ON THE TRACK.

I want to make sure none of you guys, and gals, ever have to go through this or spend a fortune to fix their "work". Here are the biggest lies that they told me:
  • Fred told me he was using a ROUSH that was warrantied - he lied they used the "kit" ROUSH Charger, which has no warranty
  • I specifically asked for them to tune it to 91 octane pump gas and to keep the advance dialed down - they used a smaller pulley, and had the advance through the roof with way more boost that I asked for. The ROUSH is supposed to make 7 PSI, I saw the boost gauge go over 13 PSI many times, and told them about it!
  • As many of you know, the Coyote stock engine is 11:1 compression, and has cast - not forged - pistons and connecting rods. From what I learned, they should not of even suggested running this setup unless I beefed up the engine first.
  • When I discussed the matter with Nelson, the owner, he did nothing about it.
  • I shipped the car to Blow-By Racing in FL by transport. It needs a new bottom end - this time forged everything and 10:1 compression, retuning, etc. It's a lot of money, that is gone.
Someone warned me about EVOLUTION in Bayville - I wish I remembered who it was. I should have listened to you brother.

If anyone else has had problems with work you had done at EVOLUTION, please contact me. PM me, and we can speak. These guys are total crooks, and I don't want to see other NJStanger's hard earned dollars go down the toilet.

Thanks, Spencer

Sorry to hear that. As Shawn said, he got ripped off by them too. The tune is still messed up. Hope everything works out for you.

Sorry to hear man. I never had luck with them. I waited 2 months for a dyno tune and when they finally contacted me I cancelled and spoke to Jon Lund that night who told me they had just sent him my info that day for the tune....

Evolution in bayville? never heard of them. I've heard of the REAL Evolution Performance in PA, first to get a new 5.0 into the 10's. They are bad ass. This place must be different.
