Default Foglight HID kit from Stangmods.com

Love them so far but I do have some gripes, I thought these where Mustang specific hid kits, they just seem like any mid level ebay hid kit with a lifetime warranty. I was expecting exact instructions to exact mounting locations, came with no directions but just a link to a web page with a (no offense stangmods) rough how to, for the price paid just couldve sent the kit with a wiring diagram and some simple numbered directions. Also the wiring on the kits have pretty weak shielding, I was very carefull routing the wiring and after I was finished inspecting the install I noticed cracks at numerous locations that should have been better protected with some wrap. These did not turn on at first as I had the factory plug installed backwards due to the hids kit's receptacle being installed backwards, instead of locking in properly you have to install the factory plug backwards so that it sits loose in the connector to match up polarity. I recommend anyone thats interested in getting hid's avoid americanmuscle and stangmods and just get the much cheaper alternatives that also have a lifetime warranty.

$39.95 and haven't had a single issue. Ebay special and it has not given me a single issue and they work great. My headlights have been fine except i had a little corrosion on the inside of the ballast where the harness plugs in, nothing a $9 new harness wouldn't fix lol.

I know they lack instructions but you just really need to be creative. I figured out that i am going to be mounting the driver's side ballast underneath my heatshield hiding it out of the way. The foglight ballasts are just crammed in there nice and snug

Actually looking at a photo of one of DDMtuning's hid kit, it looks EXACTLY like the one I paid 4-5 times as much for. ><

yeah I mean it depends, from them you know you are buying from a very reliable company that will back up your warranty unlike eBay sellers? I bought the same sets James has as well for my F150 and they passed the harsh winter without any problems, even going through rivers or splashing enough water to cover my entire F150. Very impressed and they are super bright at just 6k!

i have both cheap ebay hids and pretty much the most expensive you can get and i must say ebay ones are pretty impressive my bike my focus and my fogs in the stang are all ebays while the the heads in the stang are xenonworx. sadly you really will never find a car specific kit even my 300 dollar headlight kit for the mustang still had very general directions so they can leave mounting and all for your little hearts desire

+1 on the ebay hids. I have the ones James has and no issues at all. Been close to a year now since the install.
