Default Pre-Cut Window Tint From Rvinyl.com

The kids got tired of me being undecided about if I wanted to have my Mustang's windows tinted, so for Christmas they got me a Pre-cut Window Tint Kit from Rvinyl.com. Well the 1st break in the weather came and I got itchy and wanted to do something to the ride & I know I trying my hardest not to put on my new rims & tires sitting in the garage, waiting for spring. Anyway, I decided to see if I could find someone to apply the tint kit. You know some people are crazy! Basically everyone wanted to charge me the same rate to install the pre-cut kit the same as if they had to do the cut and trim themselves. So I decided to "do it my damn self"! 2 1/2 hours later and a few addition grey hairs, walla! Done!

How does it look?

Rvinyl.com offers a lot of products, like dash kit, headlight & tail light kit, clear bras, window tint, etc. My recommendation is to stay away from the dash kit! Clear bra is great but must be installed by pro! Headlight & tail light kit are great and easy to apply yourself! Window tint actually really wasn't hard to do. The first window is always the hardest and your lessons of does and don'ts. The over all quality of all is about B+, A-. But you can't beat the price!

Foot note: If your going to do it yourself, go with pre-cut. Read the instruction a couple of times & take advantage of videos clips from the pros on YouTube, etc.. Start with the smallest window 1st, as this is when you learn. After that, it's pretty much down hill! Oh ya, the next morning you may see a couple of tiny bubbles, especially on the 1st window. Don't spazz, take a blow dryer of heat gun and just warm up and smooth down, it will go away!

Well, hopefully this will hold me over for another month! LOL!

looks pretty good....wish I had known. I would've told you about the whole shaving the edge tip...basically you cut extra tint to the top of the window and then get a filer and shave it down to the groove of the window....not only makes it look factory but gets rid of the gap on top. Especially a great thing for convertibles! Looks good! How dark did you go?

looks good man. I could never have the patience to do it myself, I'd rather pay a professional to do it. Plus I have a few hook ups.

Came out looking good. My buddy tried rvinyl.com on his 02 Jetta, and well, he hated it. It just didn't go on properly and had serious issues with installing it. He was pissed that he wasted the money on it because it ended up looking like shit and just took it down.

One thing good about going with Rvinyl, if your sucessfull with your install you've saved a lot of money ($150-$300) and are proud of your accomplishment. On the flip side, the kit cost my kids $27 shipped. If I F'd it up, it wasn't a big lose. It was worth taking the chance.

I am going to have to check this site out as I was going to order off of e-bay. My brother got his stang tinted in Perth Amboy at some shop that gives a lifetime warrantee but it cost like $200.00 I have tinted other cars by myself cutting the roll and everything and it was a PITA. This should be pretty easy.
