Review of 2010 Mustang Raxiom Black Projector Lights pt.2
I did a quick review of these lights when I first had them put on the car. My husband and I did take the car out in full dark to see how they worked. In the full dark they work just like regular lights do - if anything the high beams are super powerful, far more so than factory lights.
I am doing a part 2 review now because this morning I encountered driving in twilight conditions. There were storms in the area, so half the sky was dark, half was light. Near my house, and all points west of Doylestown, PA, the tree cover is pretty thick - there are lots of back roads where the trees extend up over the road on both sides, leaving the road fairly dark, even on a normal sunny morning.
The Raxiom lights do nothing in twilight. They do not reflect off signs or illuminate the road at all. The turn signals are very visible - but that doesn't help when you're not turning! Now, I was fine this morning, and I know the lights make ME visible - so it's not like anyone is going to run into me because my car is too dark. But if you are considering these lights and your car is a daily driver, keep in mind that when the seasons change there are going to be times when the lights are not going to aid you at all. (Dawn & Dusk are going to be rough).
Does anyone know if installing HID bulbs would change this at all??
It was something I had been thinking about before, but now I'm going to have to get them I guess. Taking that front end back apart is going to blow. :/
yes you can get to them, well I mean do you think that a bulb blows out they want you to take out the bumper all the time lol learned something new today and glad to help lol
don't know if am has them never bought hids from them
But have you ever put hids in a set projectors James? I? Guessing not because the results can be hit or miss they could be great or they could scatter the light to the point of not usable.
Nikki go to advance auto and get some sylvania silverstar ultras if you want brighter more usable light unless you wanna give hids a shot but thats a 80 dollar risk. I wish i had a spare set you could throw in to try but i dont.
Its possible. It probably said in the instructions not to use hids. Now normally id say screw it and try but i dont want to stear you wrong with having no experience with these.
