Default Anyone know a great mechanic who can work on a 351C? (Central/Shore NJ)

Hi all,
I have a '73 convertible and I'm looking for someone who knows their way around classic Mustangs and carbureted engines. Jersey shore area would be ideal, though I'm willing to travel (central/northern NJ) for a great mechanic. My car is a daily driver and is not restoration-level, however I'm trying to keep it in tip-top shape.

1973 Convertible w/ PS, disc brakes, A/C;
351 Cleveland w/ 4-bbl Holley, dual exhaust; Pertronix;
4-speed AOD transmission.

I'll also be shopping for some body work soon, so I'll take any recommendations there as well.

Thanks in advance,
Edward

Hi Dan,

What I'm searching for is a go-to guy who knows (and cares) about these cars. I currently have a slight transmission leak that needs to be tracked down, however I need to have someone I can bring my car to for routine maintenance and repair (when it comes up). My car has 280K miles on it, and things break. Ideally, I'm looking for someone who can do quality restoration and/or modifications as well as repair work.

Edward

Where in the shore area? I have a shop in Toms river, and have a friend with a shop in Little Silver. He is where is send you. He works on old carbed stuff way more than I do.

I recently found Joe Amato, from Joe Heck racing. That shop is defunct but Joe is working out of the back of Buhler Ford on Route 36. I think that is Eatontown. He did my ford racing CAI, tune and short throw shifter. Good work, great knowledge and nice guy...
