Unhappy New member transmission trouble

Hi all,
Im a new member my name is Chris. I was wondering if you guys could help me out, I just recently blew my transmission on the way home from PA. I was told I have to take it somewhere and either get it fixed or just buy a new/used transmission. I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to go to get my transmission fixed or knows where to find transmissions. I live in the Belmar, NJ area so I was hoping to find something close to home.

First, welcome to the club Chris! So sorry to hear about your trans, check out our Vendor/Sponsor section to see if any of them can help you or maybe someone else on here can direct you as well. Tell us more about your ride and post some pics when you can, blown trans and all!

Hey Chris Welcome to the club, sorry to hear about ur issue, I have the same problem with my 98 V6, trans broke on the track couple of months ago, if ur trans is busted and needs a rebuild I suggest buying a rebuilt one rather than getting a shop to rebuild it, most shops will charge you $2500+ to rebuild, u can get a solid brand new rebuilt one with a 3 year warranty from monster transmissions for $1200, add $500 for a shop installation, or pay more and get a heavy duty one for $1400 good for 450hp

Thanks a lot for the help, I have a place by me that said they will take mine out and put the other in for $300, so now I just have to find a transmission, I have been looking around and have gotten quotes from like $500-$2000
