New to NJ Stangers, Donato from Long Island, NY
Hey Everyone,
I'm Donato from Long Island, NY and I own a 89 GT that is my project build. Right now I have the old motor out and have a fresh 306 with Trickflow top end ready to be dropped in. The actual car is on its way to get some rot issues taken care of, the original owner didn't care that the AC line was against the shock tower with no padding so the condensation just sat there and ate through the shock tower and a portion of the frame. The car also had the brake booster leaking and that sent brake fluid down the firewall onto the driver side floor pan and of course over time, rusted a nice size hole.
I figured I'd rather get it done now while the motor is out and then I don't have to worry about it. I was referred here by Kevin from Reaper Performance who put me in touch with Jonathan and we spoke about my own car club here on Long Island called Long Island Muscle Cars. It's a joint project between me and the guys from Reaper and we literally just launched the site a few days ago with a new look and format. I look forward to meeting you guys in the 2012 season and hopefully by then my bucket o' rust will be on the road, not painted yet, but on the road.
