I have been looking for a black on black automatic v8 mustang for quite some time. I came across this yesterday and i am having a mechanic look at it today.

Is it worth it?
i wanted to try and find one as stock as possible and this person has done a lot to it.
What would be a good price to pay for it?

This is what he told me is done to it:
" Rear ends fully built 8.8 in welded tubes 9 in ends, 4:10 gears, aluminum drive shaft,transmission is built and has a manual valvebody, and 3500 stall converter, 2 inch lower coilovers, full drag suspension (stiff), bassani exhaust with xpipe, 7 stage chip, under drive pully, 65mm throttle body spacers, steeda intake, nx express 75-175 wet shot, 2003 cobra rims 10.5 inch in rear 9 in in front with mickey thompson drag / street radials. That should be it i dont think im missing anything. "

i do not want nitrous.

for 16,000 you can go to a dealer and pick an s197 up stock.

well if you get it for a good deal since he says all offers considered. Mach1s tend to hold their value pretty well but I'd tell him 12k cash depending on how many miles it has and any accidents, sounds like it was heavily raced though

Anything modded to that extent I would never buy. To much of a risk for, too much money, too many headaches. If your going to buy used definitely buy stock. Especially since you can find something stock at that price EASILY!!

Seems like a fun car. Only thing id be worried about is the nitrous. Other then that its suspension work and wheels. Drive it! If it drives as well as it looks jump on it. Transmition is upgraded too so that could be one less issue for you to worry about down the line.

i dont know what a manual valve body is.
i wouldn't pay 16, my father also said offer 12.
i am worried about everything he has done to the car.
if it checks out at the mechanic and its good is it worth it?
I've only been looking for a 05-07 gt but I've always liked mach 1s.

so the biggest question is.... for 12-13k is it worth it

A manual valve body basically means you have to shift the automatic manually.

just went to my mechanic. it is a bad car. transmission is bad, abs is bad, no ac, differential is bad, tires are completely bald, and suspension is bad. he even used it as a stick being that the kid said he has a manual drive body. my mechanic doesn't think he has that. and my mechanic thinks the miles were rolled back. i know there are a couple of other things my mechanic said that i cant remember. the kid was a little weird about answering questions and wanted to keep the radio loud as we were driving, but he left the windows down and i could hear rattling. plus he was hesitant about giving it a little more gas.

well I'm just gonna keep looking for a 05-07 gt being thats what i really want.

plus i know i have seen this exact car on craigslist months ago, at least 5
