Default Tom from Wyckoff with 2010 Shelby GT500

Hi Everyone,

My two year anniversary is coming up with my 10' GT500 Kona Blue. She's stock except for a better air filter that was replaced last year. Also, she's a garage queen during the week and in winter (duhhh), but on weekends I like to take her for some local errands. Occasionally, you can see me on Rte 208 and 287 going to and from Florham Park, NJ (Morris County). If I don't have the kids with me that is. Yes, I have two car seats.

One question I have that would help me out immensely is I need a recommendation on a shop that can install a suspension system/lowering kit (FRPP or BMR) with UCA/LCA, and panhard. The wheel hop is that bad - yes! And the wheel gap is starting to get to me also. The criteria is near Wyckoff or Midland Park areas if that helps. I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks and glad to be here!

Tom

Welcome. I'm sure someone from up that way can point in the right direction. I basically just had all the suspension done pretty much the same way on my GT. big difference.

Hey Tom, welcome to the club. How did you find us?

As far as that area for Mustang shops, I am not sure, I just recently started working in Wyckoff so it's all new to me. I do know there's members on here who have done those installs and can probably help you with it....cheaper than a shop too.

If you are really interested in a reputable shop to do it, I either go to Reyco Auto in Fairview by me or Downs Ford Motorsport in Toms River.

Jonathan,

I found njstangers back in 2009, but never signed up since I had no Mustang at that time. In other words, nothing to contribute to a community of Mustang owners.

Then today for some reason I did the Google and started searching for GT500 mods and parts. After getting an idea of what was on my list to buy and install, I then needed someone to do the work. While at the car wash some kid started talking to me about my car and how he did some work on his 01' GT. His friend in Midland Park has a shop near the Caboose Hot Dog stand.

Long story short - I googled "midland park mustang" and the first hit was a hit to a thread right here at NJStangers.

Yeah...if someone can do the work for me that would be great rather than pay a high-priced shop. But then again, I don't mind paying for quality installation and proper setup and squat/pinion angles and stuff.

Tom

Hey Tom.. Welcome and beautiful car. Change out those rear lower control arms and you will notice a world of difference. I don't know about the whole FRPP kit, unless of course you don't mind boucing all over the place with every bump in the car. If you do it, let me know how it goes.

Tom, you can give us a call or check us out. We're located in Belleville, right off Route 21. We recently did a FR lowering kit on a 2010 GT500 and it looked great. You can speak to Rob or myself, and we'll get you an estimate.
