Default 2011-2012 mustang sport mode

Not to sure if someone had posted this before and i just used it tonight playing around since its cold and no traction. I found out about this back in june but forgot all about it till tonight To use sport mode you turn your mustang on and hold the break and hit the t/c button then it will say advanced trac off.. hit the button again so it says advanced trac on then wait a second and while still holding the break hit the button again twice. it should say sport mode. i dont know if it works on the v6s but it does on my 2012 5.0. it still lets you spin some but it cuts it back some to help launch faster.

Its kind've like an egg in video games ahah

this is the only video that kinda shows it. this is not me or my video just one i found.

Yes this feature is only on the 5.0. I mean the V6 performance package could have it but I don't think so. Not too sure what it exactly does

Maybe ill grab the go pro and show videos. I can drop the clutch at 4k and it will spin some but launches better and cuts the spinning down a tiny and takes off. Almost like launch control lol

Sport Mode on '11 and '12's dials down the amount of traction control, stability control, the ABS intrusion sensitivity. If equipped, one push turns off traction control only and does not effect stability control. Two quick pushes engage Sport Mode. In my pony, holding the button down for five seconds turns off all the "traction" bs. The '13's have this "feature" plus launch control. I believe it is in GT Premium and the Boss. The GT500 has a much more advanced system.

That's probably the best way to put it. "Launch control" while its a cool feature, I like the turn it all off mode best!

I use Sport Mode on street. It's pretty good and usually not annoying. I turn off everything on the track.

In cold temps though, I would not turn it "off". Even all-season rubber gets skittish below freezing.

My base model 2012 GT has the sport mode feature as well. So from what I understand, you can turn it on or off, or put it in sport mode? Is that correct? Have not tried holding it down for 5 seconds yet...
