Default 460 cubic inch monster

So I just came across a big block 460 in a 73 lincoln pos car would run if I got into it a lil only has 68k original miles on it too. I'm thinking the heart of this vehicle needs a new home. Anyone think it would fit inside danger?

that guy on S197 made a 460 fit in his S197 2005 GT but it was an insane amount of fabrication and cost. You'd end up being 6 figures into the car, you're paying for unique not speed

It wouldn't cost that much to put it in an s197... Custom motor mount and a 4r70w. If you know how to drop a big motor in the wrong car it would be easy. The ranger would be tight ive put a 351 in one and its big in there but i put a 460 in an f150 and that was pretty easy

Oh and tommy you realize that motor only makes like 200 hp right? Haha

Yes I do dan...and frank...but I'm sure with a lil modifications I can squeeze alot more out of that block. A ranger would be a horrible idea to build into a race car for someone like me lol

you would have to probably customize the firewall a little here and there with a sledge hammer haha. the reason why i say that is you would want the motor as far back as possible as it will already be nose heavy. which also means custom driveshaft too and you will probably want to mount the shifter to the floor/ build a console or something...

i put a chevy 350 in a 77 280z and i had custom mounts made/ driveshaft cut and also had to message the trans tunnel with a hammer to get the tranny in... we pushed the motor back as far as it would go for balance. no fun trying to stop a nose heavy car from 100mph... or even 50mph...

my suggestion would to try to find the lightest smallest most powerful motor trans ecu, wiring etc. get a running wreck as a donor and make it fit.

This was only supposed to be a joke. Now I might actually have to do something with this motor lol... Hey dan ill deffinitely have the fastest blown ranger around here.....yeah I said blown

How about I buy the 460 and freshen it up with a 521 stroker kit from probe. Mate it with a weiand 871 blower. And a fully built and narrowed 9" rear! Straight header to dumps exhuast. Tub the rear of the ranger and watch the roll pan tear off lol
