Default DPIC Gauge installed (Finally)

Ok. So I have had this sucker for a while now and never got around to installing it.

The short. Easy to hook up and fairly accurate IMO. N

It measures lots of stuff. 0-60 1/4 mile, HP, 60 -0. I am going to measure out 120 ft in a lot maybe and then see how it compares to the gauge readings too. The big key is dialing the weight of your car with you in it and getting it level but it is really easy to set up and program.

I gotta tell you I am pretty impressed with it.

Just for fun I went out and did the 0-60. I launched the car a few times and my best is 0-60 in 4.38 seconds at .71 G's.

1/4 mile: My best at the track in NJ was 12.88 at 106+ and today it was right on the money. I ran anywhere between a 12.6 - 12.9. That being said I did not ever get a chance to run the car with the aluminum DS... Or was it the FRPP intake??? I cant remember??? In any case... It was pretty much right around what I had been clocked at going through the traps (slightly better) at Island and I have a higher elevation here. If I did the math it would equate to around a 12.4 in the same conditions back in NJ.

I havent messed with the HP or G's or any of the other readings but I will keep u all posted as I get to it. I read a few threads on other forums that expressed how accurate these were in HP numbers as others were comparing the readings of the gauge to a dyno sheet (I have never dynoed my car so I have no idea what the HP numbers are) and I am kind of interested to see what it comes up with.

Fun gauge that I would recommend over something like a narrow band or amp gauge or something for the most part is useless and basically a hole filler in a gauge pod.

Sounds really cool. I'd be afraid to get one because it would be way too tempting to constantly play with it.

Those are sweet for sure. I have the dynolicious app on my phone, It's amazingly accurate. Has a drag racing and g-force skidpad mode. (Great for drag race and for autocross)

I did a 0-70 stint in the spring and it said I had 305hp at the wheels, with an intake/exhaust/tune I think that's damn near perfect.

Yeah the cool thing about it is that it measures HP in a dynamic setting (same as the iphone app too Jim) i.e. your car under load and under real world road conditions, weight, aero drag, etc. which a dyno cant do. If you have the weight of the car, gas, driver diealed in they are extemely accurate. I put mine at 3850 being an heavier automatic car and my weight plus 3/4 tank of gas. Also, With an auto it is a little more difficult to dial in the HP because you need to find the right gear to be in. I havent messed with it much but just almost redlining 2nd gear I got a figure of 340 and I figure I am about at that with the mods I have on the car and with my rear being a 430 gear and an auto (lots of hp loss with those to factors but torque should be higher by far). On a dyno the figures would be about 20-30 higher from what I have read as the car is under less conditions which would increase the numbers slightly.
