LOL... Wish I could have seen that episode.
So I'm watching an old episope of Pinks last night. It's a turbo Honda Civic running 28 pounds of boost stripped down with no bumpers and slicks vs a ProCharged TransAm (96). The Honda drivers claims that he is there to represent imports and settle the dispute once and for all. Anyway in true import fashion he asks for TWENTY car lengths and then also says that his car was sabotoged, his boost controller malfunctioned, the track wasn't hooking, fart can flow rate was low, blah blah blah... Bottom line he lost by a lot. When will these guys learn?!
89 5.0 LX: A work in progress... Vortech underhood and lots of Maximum Motorsports components undercar.
03 GT: Mostly suspension, bolt-ons and interior upgrades.
99 F-350 7.3L DIT: daily driver/beater, the usual diesel mods.
LOL... Wish I could have seen that episode.

Sadly these kids feed off of Fast @ Furious movies where loud an exhaust, ugly paint and loud systems means you go fast. I stopped going to most of the local car meets around me cause of these.. every tool in a "riced" out shitbox or parents car always try and race. But another reason they all get them is cause a blower for our cars cost the same as their whole car, engine build and tuna can sized turbos. i'm not busting on those who cannot afford it but i'm tired of getting them all asking if daddy bought my cars lol and it sucks for the ones that actually have theirs done right and get classified with the tools.

I have NEVER heard of someone pulling up to a light in a 88 Honda Civic, and they guy in the Harley Edition F-150 stopped next to him yelling out the window, "Nice Car!"
He should have raced this 7sec civic tht was on passtime a couple months ago... Yes FWD
I don't think you can blame the Fast and the Furious movies. In all of these movies, the "hero" car has been a domestic.
I might be a little off, but IIRC, in each movie, the car that saves the day in the end has been American
1) Charger
2) 1st Gen Camaro and Challenger?
3) 68ish Mustang (granted, with a Nissan RB swap)
4) 2nd Gen Camaro
5) Several modern Dodge Chargers

id say thats pretty spot on Mike except there was a charger hero car in 4 to
And, while I am old school American Muscle, trust me, there are plenty of those "ricers" with boost and juice that are belting out 700-800 hp... take a walk on the wild side and read their mags... and this in cars that have 1000lbs less mass... granted, they are rare, but they are out there... I've been blown off more than once by a Subaru WRX... granted, I only have an 07 V6 that is tuned with true dual exhaust, but still, the times they are a changing!
E-Lane...JLT CAI, SCT Tuner loaded by Tillman Speed, GT rear bumper, true dual exhaust with GT mufflers, Panasonic Strada Nav/DVD/CD/MP3 player, JL Audio sub with Alpine amp, Alpine SPS-507 door speakers, ( deck speakers soon to be changed to them as well), Webasto moon roof, Carbon Fiber dash dress up kit...
