NJ Red Light Runners Caught on Camera Causing Accidents in Jersey!

As you may have heard on TV, New Jersey has installed Red Light Cameras in many places and the company is releasing the videos of these NJ Red Light Runners and the accidents they caused on Youtube.


Here's one video that I found about New Jersey Traffic Light Runners and has been publicized all over the place today including on TV. It's pretty crazy stuff, I'm not one to run red lights but I've had people do it to me and had near accidents in the past.




I'm personally not a fan of people who run Red Lights intentionally like many in the video do. It's completely wreckless and i guess if they have to install cameras on popular streets in NJ to catch these red light runners then I guess that's fine

both of them accidents in deptford were at the same intersection. this intersection is crazy its way to busy im surprised it doesnt happen more often

Personally I'm for cameras at all lighted intersections, but that's me. I know it's pretty expensive to run and install these things. There is one at the intersection of Black Oak Ridge Road (RT 202) and Paterson Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne. I've been sitting at the light twice when someone has passed into the intersection enough to trigger the camera. Not running it fully, but I still think going to far over that white line is dangerous, especially when there are crosswalks nearby. Every time the person has quickly tried to reverse and then gets a nice point and laugh from me. Tickets i nthe mail people. In the mail

the only problem i see with these is that most of them including that one in deptford thats in the video take pictures all day. if you go through that intersection at night all you see is flashing non stop its almost like its timed to go off every 10-15 seconds and i see that with alot of them

Red Light camera s are nothing but a $$$ maker for the townships they are in its one thing to give a ticket for actually running a red light . ) I agree with that ) .
However its another thing to give tickets for not making a complete stop at a right turn on red sign this is just a joke if you dont wait at least 3 seconds then your gonna get your ticket in the mail

Then come to complete stop. It's not a joke. Don't stop get a ticket. I agree with it completely. A red light means stop, regardless of which direction you plan on going when you reach it

I hate the cameras. Any intersection that I know has them has me driving scared every time I come up to the light.

The video shows people running VERY red lights.... but does it show the hundreds of tickets for people with just the tip of their rear bumper in the intersection? Sure they shouldn't be there, and people take too many risks, but that's a Very expensive ticket for such a small oops. Not to mention the increased accidents at lights because of people stopping hard at yellows.

Some people dont know how to drive you really have to be an idiot to do stuff like this. My brother was almost hit bc of this in East Windsor on rt 33. NJ has a some ignorant drivers that need to go back to drivers ed
