Default Some pics from a local AZ cruise in and Mod Day as well.

http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http...l-jdW37P0X8SXw

So the first pics are from a car cruise and the last pics from a mod day from the local mustang club out here.

Lots of classics showed so I figured I would share. So... That being said... The local club out here does lots of cruises and events all the time but it isnt the same. Not sure if I will join them anymore... Julie , CJ and myself haven't had the warm fuzzies... Eric has been busy with Civil Air Patrol so he hasn't been able to make any cruises yet...

Anyway... On with a description of some of the cars that I found interesting.

The Pink 71-73 vert is actually owned by Jody Sparks (Jordan Sparks moms car) and was getting ready to go to auction at Barrett Jackson in 2 weeks. I live very close to where the auctions are held and will be attending that this year (pics to follow ) Anyway, The pink car is 1 of 12 that was made for Hugh Heffner (sp) and he gave them to the girls living at the Playboy Mansion at the time. VERY CLEAN CAR.

The Blue 71 351 BOSS is the real deal. Very nice car too.

The Red 67 vert Shelby is a real Shelby 390 car and was bought for 17,000 a few years ago. It was fully restored in 92 and was in great shape. The tail light mod (dual 65 lights which was a common mod for the day) was done at Shelby.

The 65/66 fastback gets raced often in classic car events and is my personal fav.

Most of the cars there that day were in for leaks and whatnot. Not too much modding.

The shop that we were at was Reitz Restorations. Nice guy that ran the shop and he opens his doors to club members once a month to work on their rides. He supplies the tools and the space / lifts etc. You turn the wrenches.

OH yeah. Check out the 18" polished bullet in one of the last pics... Yep. That is broken in half. A club member got t bones in his GT/CS (also on lift being worked on) and the shop is restoring it back to new for him... Should have been a total IMO.

wow that's a pretty cool show! Haven't been to a show in quite a few months lol

That wheel took some interesting damage, never seen that before. P.S. Stang is looking good with the tints.

yeah that wheel took a direct hit to the face against a curb sliding sideways at approx 40 mph.

Thanks the tints are a necessity out here. I had the windows done as soon as we got here.

The car show season here starts around Oct. and goes full swing until June. Then it slows down a bit due to heat but there still shows that go on early AM and end before lunch. Then cruise in's and shows at night become popular once it starts getting into July and August due to the heat and sun.

How's Eric enjoying the Civil Air Patrol? we have about a dozen aircraft with them based at my field here, very cool program to be a part of

Yeah James it was a nice setup. Fully forged block. Auto car. Runs mid 11's. The guy who owns it was a dick to me though... He was elelcted President of the club for this year too.. lol.... Not sure if I will go to any meets just based on that lol.

Eric LOVES the program. He just passed his safety course and has received his uniforms. He also has his ID to get on base now. We bring him to LUKE AFB. F16's flying around surprise is a regular thing out here being we are only a few miles from the base. If you ever come out here to visit the base and a few air museums are close and worth going too. You have a place to stay too FYI.

Dave I have seen some outrageous foxes here. Very clean. You would love them. Lots of old 50's Gassers too.

Yeah they were a nice pair. The guy with the Roush 427 traded in an 04 Cobra with 18,000 miles on it for the Grabber 427 that was parked. Nice guy.

Nice... but if Hef gave the pink car to one of the Girls Next Door, it's not clean.
