Default abs light...

i have a '96 ford bronco that i have a problem with the abs light staying on, is there any way to turn it off? there seems to be nothing wrong with system too.

Probably a bad sensor. the ring could be bad too i guess but most likely the sensor is toast. you can replace the sensor but you cant just turn the light off. u can put a sticker over the light i guess it if u want.

i have to fix it to get it thru inspection, i've been using tape to cover it though..i still have to replace back brakes & have front end checked out....

It'll pass inspection!! Mine has been on for years and I passed in january. They are only concerned with emissions now.

Dave;

I agree with Kristina that it will pass. I took my wife's caliber to state inspection last week and all they were concerned about was the emissions. The Scion that pulled out in front of me had only one brake light and the 3rd brake light was out and it passed!

Seems like a real joke nowadays.

I have mine on the F150. I believe you need a special scan tool to shut it off, my tuner doesn't do it. I believe MrNoodley is going to look into it for me since I already swapped one of the sensors out and its work fine. Maybe your same issue.
