Default In Dash Navi Fabrication Install

So I need some advice. In my F150, I have enough space to probably move stuff in the center display around and fab something to hold my pioneer Double Din Unit in the dash itself....Kevin (LiftedBronco) I know you may have some good ideas for this so let me know.......not looking to spend alot but if we can make it work some how and still look neat....that would be great.

I just rather have it in dash since it has bluetooth and could work similar to the one in my mustang.

Any help would be great.

haha awesome, my problem is that the navi unit from pioneer is double din but doesn't have a radio built in and my radio is double din with 6 cd changer, there has to be a way to put that all in there together.....I'm assuming it won't be too hard to take apart the radio part. Will find out.

at least that is better than my old mountaineer. i had to buy these special "prong" tools that were "U" shaped and push them in both sides of the headunit.

I used to install radios part time for A and D in WNY back in the 80's
You want to install a head unit thats double din, not a gps and single din unit seerately correct?
They sell, of course, dash kits.
It should be easy to do...
If you bought it from crutchfield you can get all that for free...
The biggest hitch is mounting depth..
Also, if the ground for the radio is near the ground wire for the a/c unit your gonna need a noise filter...
especially if the face of the radio is motorized....sometimes they are, where it pops down for a cd .
You get feedback thru the power wire which sucks...
You also might get a hum sound if it is tapped into the same metal surface as the ignition,.
Might serve you well to buy a noise filter from a good install place...they are like 30 bucks and mount inline
Its been awhile.
PAC CSS-12 High Power Noise Filter is around 15 bucks on ebay that one is good.
It eliminates the power feedback thru the head unit thru the power wire.
