Default Gt500 Supercharger on a 5.4 F150

Seeing as thought they are made for the 5.4 motors and are selling dirt cheap anywhere.

Hypothetically speakiing would it work on my 2004 F150 5.4 V8? I mean superchargers for it go for $4000 to $6000. A deal like $350 for a GT500 Supercharger is it still for the right person.

Just was curious if that was possible, and if any necessary modifications would be needed.

anything is possible, You would probably have to use an aftermarket intake or build a custom one, because even though everything should be a direct bolt on, its the intake that would be out of position and other things, FWIW it be best to go get a Lightning supercharger. they can easily be adpated to fit your truck. I mean either way, you gonna be spending money, and its gonna be more work then its worth.

So what I am saying save up a few grand a buy either a whipple, or a Roush that bolts directly on. Because if you try to adapt a GT500 Supercharger there's gonna be alot of Fab work done, and your gonna need to swap your heads. and probably need a custom intake manifold.

The amount of money and work you'd be putting in would cost almost as much as a supercharger already adapted for a 3v.

Well Unfortuntely the route your taking cost more money then its worth. that's why I was telling you It be best to just get a S/C that's made specifically for the 3v.

thats why they sell for so cheap. gt500 ppl replace them with better ones and people looking to hook up their n/a cars have found better/cheaper ways to do it.

Why don't you just look for a wrecked +'08 S/C HD F-150 and use that? Saleen blower built for an F-150, be a lot better, cleaner, and easier than fabbing a GT-500 one to work.
